“Today it became known that Sergei Tikhanovsky ... was added a day: he received an additional two months,” the headquarters said.

The report says that after two months Tikhanovsky "will have to either release or bring charges."

According to the agency, Tikhanovsky has been in custody since May 2020 as part of a criminal case under the article "organizing and preparing actions that grossly violate public order."

Earlier in Vilnius, Svetlana Tikhanovskaya met with French President Emmanuel Macron. 

Tikhanovskaya also announced plans to meet with German Chancellor Angela Merkel.
