Congress: Vox documentation is stolen from Espinosa de los Monteros in full Castellana
Ignacio Garriga. The candidate of Vox in Catalonia will defend the motion of censure of Santiago Abascal
"We are clear about how we want to be remembered: as those who did everything possible to remove the worst government at the worst time."
Vox has registered this Tuesday in Congress what will be the fifth motion of censure of our democracy.
Those in charge of presenting the procedures have been the spokesperson for the formation in the Lower House, Iván Espinosa de los Monteros, and the deputy and candidate of Vox in Catalonia, Ignacio Garriga, who will be the one who defends it before the Plenary.
Although the date of its debate and subsequent vote has not yet been specified, Garriga himself has stated that "there have never been so many reasons to present it as now."
From the party they embrace the "criminal" management of Covid-19 (Spain is the country with the most restrictions and, at the same time, with the highest incidence of the virus, they regularly repeat) as one of the strengths to try to overthrow the Government by Pedro Sánchez.
The party has accused the Government of subjecting the Spanish to a "state of disguised exception, in which the rights and individual guarantees of the Spanish people were curtailed."
"Enemies of Spain"
However, Garriga has specified that, beyond the crisis derived from the pandemic, the main argument for which they decided to present the motion was the "fraud to the electorate" with which the current coalition government was created: "they said no They would agree with Podemos or with the heirs of ETA, and ended up agreeing, "said the Vox deputy.
"It is a government supported by the enemies of Spain and freedom."
Finally, Garriga has pointed to the institutional crises, which have increased in recent days, as a new justification for proposing the motion: "At the worst moment in our history they have dedicated themselves to degenerating our democracy."
The Executive intends, as they say from Vox, "to assault all the counterpowers", such as the State Attorney, the General Prosecutor's Office, the Civil Guard or the monarchy.
A whole process of democratic "degeneration", as they point out from Vox.
"They have a clear will to break the national harmony and to delegitimize the Spanish Transition", has sentenced the person in charge of introducing the candidate of the motion, which will be the leader of the formation, Santiago Abascal.
"Nowhere is it written that Spain is condemned," concluded Garriga.
"We will propose a hopeful and future alternative to move forward."
