Earlier, Nikulin's defense filed a motion to dismiss the case or start a new process.

On July 11, a jury at the trial in the United States found Nikulin guilty of cyber crimes.

Evgeny Nikulin was arrested by the Czech police at the request of the FBI in October 2016.

He is accused of illegally gaining access to data from the social network LinkedIn and the servers Dropbox and Formspring.
