A setback for Paul Canarelli.

This owner of the luxurious Murtoli estate saw the Marseille administrative court of appeal confirm the cancellation, at the request of environmentalists, of the building permit for a set of 12 villas in Sartène (Corse-du- South) he was wearing.

The court rejected Monday the appeal of the company PCPG against the decision of the administrative court of Bastia which had already ruled in December 2018 to the association for the defense of the environment U Levante.

The association had seized the court to ask it "to cancel for excess of power" the decree taken by the mayor of Sartène to issue this building permit for the hamlet of Serragia.

Luxury estate

The court rejected the arguments of the company PCPG which ensured that it was based on the prescriptions of the planning and sustainable development plan for Corsica (Padduc) and which allowed it, according to it, to provide for the urban reinforcement of certain urbanized spaces which do not constitute an agglomeration or a village.

This real estate project called "The hills of Murtoli" is carried by the company PCPG of the names of Paul Canarelli, owner of the Murtoli estate and Pascal Grizot, vice-president of the French golf federation.

The Murtoli estate, 2,500 hectares by the sea, is a popular holiday resort for personalities from politics, business and entertainment.
