In Crime of the Week, Detective Inspector Henry Jansén talks about the interrogations with the suspected killer.

- I immediately noticed that you have to be very calm and patient with him and not pressure him.

It was then understood that he had a disease behind him, says Henry Jansén in Crime of the Week.

During the interrogations, it emerged that Daniel Nyqvist has previously been diagnosed with Asperger's syndrome.

- I got the impression that he was a lonely person and had difficulty expressing himself, says Henry Jansén.

Suffering from a serious mental disorder

In connection with the investigation, Daniel Nyqvist had to undergo a forensic psychiatric examination which showed that he was suffering from a serious mental disorder.

Something that he, according to the National Board of Forensic Medicine's assessment, also did at the time of the crime.

On September 21, the court proceedings were concluded and Linköping District Court will decide whether he should be convicted of two cases of murder or two cases of murder.

The verdict will be announced on Thursday 1 October.
