During the night from Saturday to Sunday a 24-year-old pregnant woman died near the town center of Saint-Jean-de-Liversay, north of La Rochelle.

According to the prosecutor of the Republic of La Rochelle, Clément Incerti, whose comments are reported by our colleagues from the

South West,

the young woman would have started to develop symptoms during a family meal on Saturday, in a restaurant.

Two calls were made to Samu during the night and advice was given by a doctor over the phone.

Her condition continued to deteriorate and on the third call, a medical team was dispatched but was unable to save the young woman.

As part of the investigation, the soundtracks were requisitioned and will be analyzed.

An autopsy will also be conducted on the young woman to determine the causes of death.

The companion of the young woman lodged a complaint, which at this stage does not target anyone and is not qualified, "in order to investigate the causes of death".
