The Bridgestone plant in Béthune employs 863 people -

F. Launay / 20 Minutes

After the time for words, it's time for action.

Threatened with closure since September 16, the Bridgestone plant in Béthune has decided to react.

The inter-union calls all those who wish it to a big march this Sunday, October 4 in the streets of the city.

The idea is to come and support the 863 employees who risk losing their jobs.

If the government ensures to do everything to find a solution, negotiations are expected to be tense with the group's management.

A march open to all but "without political or union labels"

Suddenly, the unions decided to put pressure with this support march open to all but "without a union or political label" specify the organizers who hope to be able to keep the factory.

The procession will leave at 9:30 am at the roundabout, avenue Georges-Washington, opposite the Tadao depot.

The participants will then parade to the town hall of Béthune.
