The German government believes that the growing right-wing extremism is now the biggest threat to public security in the country.

Local politician Julian Barlen now warns that the corona demonstrations have helped extremists move the positions forward.

The security police estimate that there are 32,000 right-wing extremists in the country today, 65 of whom are suspected of preparing acts.

- When conspiracy theorists, extremists from right-wing parties and citizens take to the streets together, an explosive mixture arises. And I believe that that danger must be taken more seriously by politicians, authorities, security police and police, says Julian Barlen, from the Social Democrats in Schwerin.
