Fjällvärld lights up viaducts under the new E10 in Kiruna

The new E10 past Kiruna will open to traffic on 27 October.

There are eight viaducts in the new route that runs north of Kiruna, the stretch is seven kilometers long and runs from Tuolluvaara in the east to Luossavaara in the west.

"A dark experience"

Light art has been installed in the viaducts.

The illuminated photographs are best experienced when it is dark - and the viaducts will create a safer environment for pedestrians, cyclists and skiers.

- This is a dark experience, because the image appears very well in the dark, says Charlotta Blind project manager for the Swedish Transport Administration.
