This year marks the 70th anniversary of the Chinese People’s Volunteers’ going abroad to fight against the United States and Aid Korea. Today, the seventh batch of the remains of the Chinese People’s Volunteers in South Korea and related relics returned to the motherland from South Korea.

A total of 117 remains of volunteer martyrs and 1,368 relics were welcomed back from South Korea.

  After the welcome ceremony was held at the airport, vehicles transporting the remains of volunteer martyrs and related relics to the Shenyang Anti-US Aid Korea Martyrs Cemetery.

Shenyang City set up 5 mass gathering points along the route, and some volunteer veterans and children of martyrs also participated in the welcoming activities.

  Among them, although this veteran soldier of the Chinese Volunteer Army is nearly ninety years old, he still came to welcome the soul of his former comrades-in-arms to the motherland.
