He stated this during a press conference with Lithuanian President Gitanas Nauseda in Vilnius.
“I would like us to be able to adopt the necessary sanctions as soon as possible, but also to resume mediation,” TASS quotes him.
He added that it was proposed in France that the OSCE mediate on the situation in Belarus.
Macron also said that Paris will "help this mediation develop."
Earlier, President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko responded to Macron's call to resign from the presidency.
