Less than 24 hours after the total closure of bars, cafes and restaurants in the metropolis of Aix-Marseille, the professionals of the sector are not wavering.

But in front of them, the caregivers try to show pedagogy and explain that the situation requires it.

It is a measure that still does not pass.

In the aftermath of the total closure of bars, cafes and restaurants in the Aix-Marseille metropolis, cafetiers and restaurateurs did not take off.

They accuse the government of making them compensate for the deficiencies of the hospital, which in turn warns of the risk of saturation of local intensive care services.

This Monday again, 19 doctors signed a forum to explain that they are aware of the terrible consequences of this crisis on the economy, but also to understand the tension that reigns within hospitals.

"There are great difficulties"

"People do not realize that there are great difficulties for non-Covid patients", explains at the microphone of Europe 1 the head of the coronavirus unit of the Marseille hospital of Timone.

"We may have to live for weeks or even months with these two populations [Covid and not Covid, note]. Everything must be done to maintain usual activities in hospitals."

This task is all the more complex as these establishments lack both intensive care beds and staff.

"We start over the same scenario as in March"

"We start again at the hospital the same scenario as in March", denounces his side Bernard Marty, president of the Union of trades and hospitality industries of Bouches-du-Rhône.

"We have been told for months that there will be a second wave, but he [the Minister of Health Olivier Véran, editor's note] did nothing during the summer. At one point, we were Minister of Health , we take our responsibilities, we ensure that hospitals are able to receive patients and we do not place the responsibility on bars, cafes and restaurants! "
