The Palestinian resistance factions condemned the killing by the Egyptian army of Palestinian fishermen Hassan and Mahmoud Al-Zaazoua, and the wounding and arrest of their brother Yasser, in the width of the Rafah Sea in the southern Gaza Strip.

The Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) said that there is no justification for repeated violent dealings with those looking for their livelihood in light of the Israeli blockade on the Gaza Strip.

The movement stressed its categorical rejection of these dangerous policies, calling on the Egyptian authorities to expedite the investigation into the incident and ensure that it will not be repeated.

The Islamic Jihad Movement strongly condemned the incident, and demanded the Egyptian authorities to release their wounded brother, Yasser Al-Zaazou.

The Palestinian forces said that the repeated incidents of shooting with the purpose of killing are condemned and condemned in light of the suffocating siege and difficult conditions that the residents of the Gaza Strip live in, and it constitutes a violation of the values ​​of Arabism and neighborhood.

In turn, the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine condemned the targeting of Palestinian fishermen by the Egyptian navy, and the front called on the Egyptian authorities to open an urgent investigation and hold accountable those who caused this crime and the immediate release of the wounded fisherman who was arrested after the accident.

She emphasized that targeting is unacceptable, and that the official Egyptian authorities should shoulder their responsibilities, especially after the fishermen have been repeatedly targeted.

Palestinian Prime Minister Muhammad Shtayyeh also wrote on his Facebook page, "A day of sadness for our people, we mourn with great pain the two young fishermen Mahmoud and Hasan Al-Zaazoua martyrs of a livelihood, may God have mercy on them and inspired their family patience and solace and a cure for their injured brother."

For its part, the Palestine Scholars Association in the Gaza Strip denounced "this dangerous act," and asked about the aim and purpose of "committing this crime by an army that is supposed to support our hungry, thirsty, sick, and poor."

The Palestinian Fishermen Syndicate in the Gaza Strip said that the bodies of two Palestinian fishermen arrived in Gaza from Egypt through the Rafah land crossing, after they were killed by the Egyptian army's fire on Friday, and their brother was wounded, on the pretext that they crossed the Egyptian maritime borders.

The Syndicate stated that a Palestinian fishing boat with 3 people on board crossed the Egyptian waters in the south of the Strip and was followed by the Egyptian Navy boats, and fired at it.

She explained that the three fishermen are from the same family, and they live in the city of Deir Al-Balah, in the center of the Strip.
