Double-bred Corey Perry, whose winning goal (3-2) in 2nd overtime, allowed Dallas to snatch a sixth game against Tampa Bay, relaunching the NHL Stanley Cup final on Saturday in Edmonton.

The hardest part remains for the Stars, still led (3-2) in this series and who are required to win the two remaining matches under penalty of seeing the Lightning crowned in the end.

In the meantime, they remain alive and owe it to Perry, who recovered from the rebound a first attempt pushed back to beat Andrei Vasilevskiy closely, after 9:23 in the second overtime.

At that time, as in the first overtime for that matter, it was rather Tampa Bay which dominated, but came up against Texan goalkeeper Anton Khudobin, who made 39 saves in total.

Dallas, who only shot six times on goal during these extra periods, was happy to equalize at 2-2 at 6:45 a.m. from the siren, through his veteran Joe Pavelski, also at the rebound from a long shot.

The 61st goal of his career in the play-offs.

As they finished the match better, the Stars started it off very well, opening the scoring by Corey Perry at the end of the first half, with a flick that surprised the goalkeeper.

After which, Tampa Bay managed to equalize thanks to Ondrej Palat at the start of the second half, a superb goal on which he demonstrated his speed, overflowing his vis-à-vis right side, and his dexterity, transplanting in front of the goal to beat the keeper closely.

At the start of the third quarter, the Lightning took the advantage on a superb tense strike from Mikhail Sergachev whose missile passed through traffic, before lodging in the left net.

Tampa Bay was then just minutes from its second coronation after that of 2004. But Dallas never gave up.
