27 September 2020 Fatal penalty for Lewis Hamilton who 'leaves' the success in Russia to his teammate Bottas but retains the leadership of the World Championship by a large margin.

The British, third behind Verstappen, also postpones the appointment with the 91st success which would equal Schumacher's record.

Fourth place for Perez's Racing Point, regular race, good performance for Leclerc who climbs up to sixth place with Ferrari.

Only 13th Vettel

Verstappen's start was not good and he gave up second place to Bottas.

Two different incidents in the first corners immediately call into question the 'safety car'.

Sainz and Stroll go out (the Canadian touches Leclerc's front right which is not damaged).

Adjust the restart launched with the Mercedes in front and Verstappen who tries to hold on.

Hamilton receives the news of the 10 "penalty due to the start tests outside the designated area: the British does not like it, the radio teams (bippati ...) clearly demonstrate this.

Hamilton, then, 'squeezed' his soft to ring one quick lap after another before stopping on lap 17 to fit the hard and go all the way and at the same time serve the penalty.

Bottas takes advantage of this by pushing to the maximum with his 'averages' to spread the scissors while waiting for his pit stop.

In the game of stops (stop for Renaul, Alpha Tauri and Racing Point) Leclerc finds himself third behind Verstappen.

Ferrari therefore takes the lead when the Dutchman stops on lap 25 and the Finn on lap 26.

The Monegasque holds the record for three laps, when he stops himself and starts again from a flattering (these days) sixth place.

Bottas has the race in hand already 20 laps from the end.

Verstappen is at 12 "and moves away, Hamilton is well over 20" and cannot get that close.

Good performance by Perez who keeps the 4th place gained on the grid.

Same thing for Ricciardo's Renault, 5th ahead of Leclerc.
