According to the Serbian Ministry of Defense on September 25, two air force pilots were killed in the crash that morning.

One is Major General Dejan Krsinik of the 101st Hunting and Aviation Squadron of the 204th Brigade of the Air Force. He is 49 years old and has served for 26 years. The other is the assistant commander of the squadron’s intelligence and reconnaissance affairs, Vasilevich. (Zvonko Vasiljevi), 43 years old, 19 years of service, both are senior pilots.

  At about 9 a.m. that day, a MiG-21 military aircraft crashed in the yard of a villager in Brasina village in the small Zvonica town of Loznica in western Serbia.

  After the incident, Serbian Defense Minister Wu Lin, Chief of Staff Moisinovic and others rushed to the scene and set up an investigation committee. The Air Force Command established an expert committee to investigate the cause of the accident.

According to the Ministry of National Defense, this is a routine flight mission. All procedures have been checked before takeoff and everything is normal.

  At the scene of the accident, a villager suffered burns to his head, chest and arm. He is currently undergoing treatment at the Loznica General Hospital.
