The writer Denis Tillinac died at the age of 73 on the night of Friday 25 to Saturday 26 September from a heart attack, we learned from Plon editions.

The one who was also a journalist and head of a publishing house has signed more than sixty books (novels, stories, essays, short stories, poems), including his latest "Dictionary in love with General [de Gaulle]" published by Plon (2020 ).

Denis Tillinac loved Corrèze, rugby, the life of yesteryear that he sang in spleen in his books.

We didn't have the same ideas but we could have the same feelings.

I extend to his wife and his family all my solidarity and to his many friends my support.

Many prizes have marked the career of one who was a close friend of Jacques Chirac, who died a year ago to the day: the Roger Nimier Prize for "The English Summer" (Robert Laffont) or the Grand Prize for Literature Henri-Gal, award from the Institut de France on a proposal from the Académie française, for his work as a whole.

1 year after his friend Jacques Chirac, Denis Tillinac left.

So sad.

We remade the world on @RTLFrance but also off the microphone.

A free, generous, affectionate spirit.

A friend .

Known for his commitments to the right, Denis Tillinac was first Chiraquian before becoming a Sarkozyst.

In 2016, the writer participated in a gathering of intellectuals and politicians in Béziers at the initiative of the mayor, Robert Ménard, in charge of a round table entitled "Defining what it is to be right-wing".
