), which were adopted in a number of European states.

We believe that these decisions are contrary to international law in general, ”he said.

As the Kremlin spokesman noted, these decisions "do not contribute to the development of dialogue" and are "indirect interference in internal affairs."

“Such decisions will definitely slow down and complicate the dialogue between these states and Belarus.

In any case, these decisions and the position taken by a number of European countries towards Lukashenka in no way can influence the current state and prospects of further development of Russian-Belarusian relations, ”Peskov added.

According to him, both Belarus and Russia are sovereign countries that build their relations "without looking back at other states."

On September 23, Lukashenko was inaugurated, during which he officially took office as President of Belarus.

After that, a number of countries declared Lukashenka's illegitimacy, including Germany, Slovakia, Estonia, Latvia and the Czech Republic.

As the head of EU diplomacy, Josep Borrell, noted, Lukashenka's inauguration does not have "sufficient democratic legitimacy."
