The keys: These are the three criteria for confining an area in Madrid
Madrid has extended the restrictions in eight new areas of the community this Friday after assessing the evolution of Covid-19.
These areas reinforce the 37 announced a week ago to prevent the transmission of the virus.
This has been assured by the Deputy Minister of Public Health and the Covid-19 Plan, Antonio Zapatero, in the appearance together with the Director of Public Health, Elena Andradas, to report on the epidemiological situation in the region.
The affected areas are Panaderas, in Fuenlabrada;
Doctor Trueta and Miguel Servet, in Alcorcón;
Campo de la Paloma and Rafael Alberti, in Puente de Vallecas;
García Noblejas in Ciudad Lineal;
Vicálvaro-Artilleros, in Vicálvaro;
and Orcasitas, in Usera, and affect more than 160,000 people, 2.5% of the community's population.
The measures in these areas will take effect next Monday.
