The film clip has been spread on social media and has also been rewritten in international media.
The police found the clip in a so-called telephone emptying a couple of weeks ago.
The person whose phone was emptied is not a suspect in the assault case but had the clip sent to him.
The film clip was then shown by TV3's Wanted and since then the tips have flowed in.
- A woman heard from her and claims to be the person who was attacked in the clip, says Hanna Hagberg, head of preliminary investigation at Malmö Police.
The woman will be heard together with a plaintiff's counsel shortly.
The woman made a report in connection with the assault, but it was dropped.
Suspected perpetrator must be heard
The police also have a clear picture of who is carrying out the actual assault.

He is reasonably suspected of assault and will also be heard shortly, says Hanna Hagberg.
