When the mice were discovered by the staff, mainly within the store's warehouses, Anticimex was contacted directly and a number of measures were taken.

Now the store managers are choosing to close temporarily to really make sure all mice are gone.

- We take the issue very seriously and by keeping the store closed for a while, we hope to be able to solve the problem.

We apologize to our customers for the inconvenience, says Coop Värmland's communications manager Klas Olsson in a press release.

Anticimex states that there seems to be an unusual number of rodents this year and that it is common for there to be problems with mice, especially in larger public spaces.

Preliminary opening date for the store is Friday 2 October.
