Cameroon: pressure increases on the opposition
The pressure continues on the Mouvement pour la renaissance du Cameroun (MRC) of the opponent Maurice Kamto.

A few days after the demonstrations of Tuesday, September 22 at the call of the MRC of the opponent Maurice Kamto, the pressure continues against the opposition.
Nearly 600 people remain in police custody, according to the "collective of lawyers, the late Maître Sylvain Suop".
In a statement released Friday, the Network of Human Rights Defenders in Central Africa, the Redhac, for its part, puts forward the figure of more than 400 arrests.
No official figure has been communicated by the authorities for the moment.

Since the night of Sunday to Monday, Maurice Kamto has been blocked at home, with several dozen activists.
His villa is still surrounded by the police.
Alain Fogué, the treasurer of the MRC, and Bibou Nissack, the spokesperson, are still in custody in the premises of the SED, the Secretary of State for Defense.
According to Maître Emmanuel Simh, the lawyer for the MRC, other leaders are hiding like Albert Nzongang, Maurice Kamto's special advisor, Jean-Pierre Boutché, regional secretary of the party for the Far North or André Tassa for the West. .
In this western region, in Bafoussam, a lawyer Me Jean-Jacques Kengné was arrested Thursday before being transferred to the SED, in Yaoundé.
