In October, Sweden's and Switzerland's foreign ministers would have celebrated the countries' 100 years of diplomatic relations.

A dinner will be held at the Swiss Embassy in Stockholm - but there will be no ministerial meeting.

The explanation - which is now confirmed by Ann Linde - is that Switzerland has imposed an export ban on the Swedish-owned company Crypto International (see fact box).

- The problem is that Switzerland does not allow the export of goods that would go to Sweden, says Ann Linde (S).

- We are worried about that and we try to solve it in different ways.

And is there a connection to you postponing the meeting?

- Yes, it is so that it does not fit right now before we are completely clear with the basics of Switzerland's actions.

Can not get support

Ann Linde does not want to answer how the export ban affects Swedish authorities concretely.

- These issues concern the nation's cyber security, and therefore I can not comment because it is confidential.

But according to security experts, the effects could be serious for the authorities who have chosen to rely on Crypto International's products.

- Some Swedish authorities are dependent on this equipment.

When the Swiss authorities have withdrawn the export license, the Swedish authorities can not get access to the equipment, nor do they have the opportunity to receive, for example, support and upgrades, says IT security expert André Catry to SVT.
