Every day of the week, Jérôme Lacroix brings you the best of initiatives that are changing the world, on the web and in the regions!

This Thursday, Charlotte Cachoire and Cédric Fargues created a group of citizens who decided to come to the voluntary help of owners of horses who no longer sleep following the mutilation and murder of several equines in recent weeks.

They will organize rounds and vigils to relieve the owners.

The goodwill of these French people who, on a daily basis, give of their time to help others.

This Thursday morning, a mission of great importance.

Support as much as possible and ease the anxieties of these horse owners because France is experiencing an unexplained wave of acts of cruelty to these animals.

Last Saturday, a pony was found dead in Loupiac in the Tarn, shot dead.

An investigation is open.

In Occitania, it is psychosis among owners of horses, who no longer sleep.

Thus, in the neighboring department of Haute-Garonne, a group of citizens decided to come to their aid.

How does this help manifest itself?

A presence or surveillance every night and they do this voluntarily.

It all started with a Facebook group created by two people: Charlotte Cachoire and Cédric Fargues.

Through this group, they "recruited" other volunteers who propose to come and carry out guards from 7 pm to 8 am the next morning.

Between two and six people mobilized, depending on the size of the property.

An imposing presence, they often come by 4x4 and position themselves in strategic places: one vehicle at the beginning of the property path, another at the other end, a third very close to groups of horses or ponies.

They must first count the animals to be sure that none are missing at the end of the night.

If they see anything, they call the gendarmes who are informed of the presence of the volunteers, to avoid any risk of confusion.

They've been keeping watch every night for several days now, to the immense relief of the owners.

"We were finally able to sleep" tells one of them to the Dépêche du Midi, a physical but also psychological support of these volunteers, more and more in demand in the region.
