Marseille denounces an "affront" to new anti-Covid restrictions

The first deputy mayor of Marseille Benoît Payan denounced this Thursday an "affront" after the announcement "without consultation" by the government of "incredible restrictions" in the city to fight against Covid-19.

"Once again, our territory is pointed out," blasted Benoît Payan, replacing left-wing mayor Michèle Rubirola, who recently underwent an operation.

"With Madam Mayor, we ask the government 10 days before the implementation of new measures", he added, assuring that the actions carried out by the city "had started to bear fruit".
