No general public tickets will be on sale for Saint-Etienne - Rennes, a Ligue 1 shock played on Saturday (5 p.m.) almost behind closed doors, in application of new government health measures, ASSE announced on Thursday, the only authorized spectators being those present in the boxes.

"The Tribune Henri-Point du + Chaudron + which welcomed spectators in the last matches in a capacity limited to 5,000 people will remain closed", indicates a press release from the Saint-Etienne club.

"AS Saint-Etienne took note of the new health measures decided by the government, which notably provide for a maximum capacity of 1,000 people in the stadiums including players, club management, officials and all categories of staff officiating within the framework of 'a match,' says the club.

ASSE therefore canceled all general public tickets and closed the Henri-Point stand.

Only VIPs will be authorized to attend the meeting within the framework of Hospitality services.

These spectators in boxes should number around 500.

On August 30, the Greens beat Lorient (2-0) in front of 3,050 spectators and won on September 12 against Strasbourg (2-0) in front of 4,300 people for a gauge set at 5,000 in the stadium.

Saint-Etienne and Rennes occupy the first place in the standings with ten points each, the Stéphanois ahead of the Rennais on goal difference (+6 against +4).
