Dubai Health depends on prices for telemedicine and telemedicine services

The Dubai Health Authority issued a decision to approve the prices of its telemedicine and telemedicine services, ranging from 65 to 350 dirhams depending on the type of service provided, and called on all organizational units in the authority to take the necessary measures to put the decision into effect, each in his field of competence.

According to Administrative Decision No. 106 of 2020, signed by the Director General of the Dubai Health Authority, Humaid Muhammad Al Qatami, the prices of five basic telemedicine services have been approved, reaching 90 dirhams for consulting a general practitioner, 150 dirhams for consulting a specialist doctor, and 180 dirhams for a consultant doctor And 65 dirhams for a consultation with a non-professional healthcare professional, while the value of a psychiatrist consultation is 350 dirhams.

According to the authority, the idea of telemedicine is based on the patient's access to medical and therapeutic services, while he is in a place far from the doctor through one of the smart, fast, and high-quality means of communication, which saves the patient the difficulty of getting an appointment with the doctor or specialist and waiting for him.
