For the past period of time, the First Mobile Squadron of a certain detachment of the Armed Police Yunnan Corps has been stationed in this temporary camp for training.

In this place, there was only one tent when the camping village came to the training center. Our current beds are not camp beds of this kind. They are just made up of a few bricks and a few boards. With eight beds sleeping eight people, the space seems to be relatively small. At that time, ten people were living.
[Explanation] Entering the summer, the western Yunnan plateau where the camping village is located continues to have a “sauna day” of high temperature and humidity.
Training in such an environment, the cheeks of the officers and soldiers were tanned, and the physical clothes on their bodies showed signs of yellowing.
Lai Yonghong, who has been in the army for eight years, said that in training in this special place, his comrades in arms are all accustomed to "taking black as beauty."

In my opinion, as modern soldiers, in fact, places like ours are not the most difficult places in the military, and there are more difficult places than us. Every time I think about this, I feel relieved.
And in this place, although we are dark, although the sun is big, although bitter, although hot, we live happily, and we can stand the south gate of the motherland in such a position.
[Explanation] In January 2019, the squadron came to the camping village to carry out the border stability maintenance training mission.
From then on, the armed police officers and soldiers began the process of building a new home.
In order to cool down and dehumidify, they added sunscreen and ground cloth to the camp.
In order to beautify the environment of the camp, all officers and soldiers of the squadron became "skilled craftsmen" and built a field culture wall in front of each camp.

When I first came here, it was very difficult. In fact, at that time, everyone had an idea that they had to build their own homes with their own hands.
We never learned cement work, and then we did it ourselves, bought cement, and went to the river to pick up pebbles.
After picking up the pebbles, he has to clean them with a shoe brush. Some of these experiences are something that he may not have experienced in other urban troops.
[Explanation] Today, the training conditions in the camping village are becoming more and more perfect, and the officers and soldiers of the squadron have gradually adapted to the environment here.
Lai Yonghong told reporters that no matter where he is deep in the future, the camping village will become the most profound landmark in his memory.

No matter whether we live here or if we are going to leave in the future, I feel that this place is a very important point in my life or military career. It is an experience that is still fresh in my memory.
Because no matter what, you may not remember what your barracks are like, but you definitely remember such a difficult place, where you spent more than a year in your military career.
