24 September 2020 Return to class today for about 2 million students: they are those of the Abruzzo, Basilicata, Calabria, Campania, Puglia Regions, who have decided to postpone the opening initially scheduled for 14 September throughout Italy due to organizational difficulties and also to avoid double sanitation in schools where polling stations are located.

 It must be said that in some places the failure to appoint alternates, the delay in the arrival of the desks, the difficulties in finding new spaces or the desire to perform serological tests on staff, have led the mayors to postpone the start of the 'school year.

Today is the news that the mayor of Catanzaro, Sergio Abramo, has decided to postpone the start of the educational activities scheduled for tomorrow to Monday, September 28, with an ordinance.

Also in Reggio Calabria, in the schools where the polling stations are located, lessons will resume on the 28th. Similarly, in Naples the schools of all levels that have been the seat of polling stations will open on Monday 28 September and not on the 24th, the date set in Campania.

The start of the school activities of the public schools in Olbia for kindergartens, elementary, lower secondary and upper secondary schools is postponed to 29 September to allow the completion of serological tests on school staff.

In the municipalities of Andria, Trani, Adelfia and Bitonto, the mayors have decided to postpone the opening from 25 to 28 September;

in Torre del Greco (Naples) the reopening was even postponed to 1 October;

on the 28th they will return to class instead in Torre Annunziata (Naples).

  But it hasn't even started again and the shadow of the strike is already looming over the school: today Usb PI Scuola, Unicobas Scuola e Università, CobasScuola Sardegna and Cub scuola will strike for the whole day.

On Saturday from 3.30 pm in Piazza del Popolo in Rome, a demonstration organized by the School Priority Committee is scheduled to be attended by Cgil, Cisl, Uil, Snals and Gilda of the school.

 But the good news also arrives: in the schools of the Lombardy provinces, which reopened after the Covid emergency, "at least 80% of the light construction works, which were put in place in August, are finished" while the Education Minister Lucia Azzolina today in the House asked that a substantial part of the resources available within the Recovery Fund be allocated to the Education chapter also to eliminate chicken coop classes and build new and functional schools.

Important news also comes from the University front: Minister Gaetano Manfredi today announced that a bill is ready, to be brought to the attention of Parliament, to make all the degrees in which an internship is qualifying - after Medicine - professionalizing.

"In these cases, in fact - explained Manfredi - the final exam of the course of study is a more than valid place to carry out the state exam for access to professional practice, in full compliance with the Constitutional Charter".

And there's more: in addition to identifying a list of degrees, the bill also wants to include an innovative mechanism, potentially open to other degrees that give access to regulated professions, which can allow them to undertake for them, in full in agreement with the professional associations of reference, the revision of the respective regulations until the enabling value is acquired.

The bill in question will soon be examined by the Council of Ministers.
