A 26-year-old man was indicted for murder, and remanded in custody, in Béziers (Hérault).

He is suspected of having killed a 30-year-old man with a stab, on September 19, in the city center of Béziers.

The victim died during his transport to the Montpellier University Hospital.

The autopsy performed on September 22 established that his death was consecutive to a perforating wound in the heart and a lung corresponding to a single blow from a stabbing weapon, indicates Raphaël Balland, the public prosecutor. from Béziers.

Already condemned

Designated by several witnesses as the alleged perpetrator of the fatal stabbing, the 26-year-old was taken into police custody on September 22.

The suspect remained silent, in front of the investigators and before the investigating judge.

In 2016, he was sentenced by the Béziers criminal court to 15 months' imprisonment for his involvement in drug trafficking.
