  On the same day, the Fujian Provincial Key Laboratory of Ocular Surface and Corneal Diseases held an unveiling ceremony.

The key laboratory will make full use of the high-quality resources of the scientific research and innovation team to establish a research, detection, diagnosis and treatment center for difficult ocular surface and corneal diseases based in Xiamen, covering Fujian, and radiating nationwide.

Wang Yiqing, deputy director of the Xiamen Municipal Health Commission, said that the construction of the laboratory will promote the high-quality development of ocular surface diagnosis and treatment technology in Xiamen and even Fujian.
