The police said the day after the fatal shooting in Nyfors that they have reason to believe that the murder is connected to criminal networks.
The 16-year-old who has been requested to be detained on suspicion of murder is known to the social services in Eskilstuna.
"Spring boy for criminals"
In a decision in the administrative court where it was determined that the murder suspect should be taken into care according to the law on care of young people (LVU), he is described by the social services as a "running boy" for several of the most serious criminals in Eskilstuna.
