The agency Ruptly, part of the RT network, is fighting for the title of News Agency of the Year with French AFP.

Ruptly was the only one in the world to record the arrest of WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange outside the Ecuadorian Embassy in London in 2019.

The footage was shown by major global media outlets including BBC, CNN, The Telegraph and The Guardian.

In 2020, Ruptly broadcast live from Beirut, where the explosion took place, and also showed footage of protests by supporters of the Black Lives Matter movement in the United States.

Ruptly's clients include over 1200 media companies from over 100 countries.

The shortlist for the Continuing News Reporting nomination includes a series of issues of the RT France program “News from Stephanie de Muru”, dedicated to the public discussion of COVID-19 treatments in France.

RT rivals in this category include CNN, BBC and Al Jazeera.

The RTD documentary "Wild and Free" has been nominated for the Natural World category.

For victory in this category, RT's work competes, among other things, with projects from CNN and Al Jazeera.

The tape tells about the employees of the World Wildlife Fund of Russia, working to preserve rare and endangered species of animals.

The film was voiced by the famous zoologist and TV presenter Nikolai Drozdov.
