The Asahi Shimbun reported that the Japanese government is soon looking to partially allow new entry to all parts of the world.

The Asahi Shimbun cited multiple officials that the Japanese government will not restrict entry to those who come to Japan for business purposes, but will lift the entry limit for mid- to long-term residents of three months or more at the beginning of next month.

The newspaper said that the Japanese government plans to approve mid-to-long-term stays for medical, educational, and cultural activities to all regions of the world, and that foreign students are allowed to enter the country entirely due to the deregulation of entry.

Japan has been undergoing procedures to allow limited entry for business visitors from 16 countries and regions including Korea, and this time, the scope of admission is expected to be greatly expanded.

The Asahi Shimbun said there is a possibility that the Japanese government will set the number of people allowed to enter the country as a result of this measure to around 1,000 per day and adjust the number of countries allowed to enter the country in light of the spread of infection.

As reported by the Asahi Shimbun, it is expected that Koreans' visits to Japan will return to a state that is virtually close to professional permission except for tourist purposes.

However, the newspaper reported that if a foreigner enters Japan, it is confirmed that it is negative for Corona 19 when entering the country, and after entering the country, they are asked to self-isolate, such as waiting at their home or hotel for two weeks.
