In Dagestan, after the escape of six prisoners, a negligence case was opened

It is noted that according to the version of the investigation, on September 22, six convicts from the correctional colony located in the Shamkhal village of the Kirovsky district of the city of Makhachkala, "made a tunnel through which they escaped."

“This circumstance became possible as a result of improper performance by officials from the management of the correctional colony of their official duties,” the statement says.   

The Investigative Committee stated that "a complex of investigative actions is being carried out in the case, aimed at identifying the guilty officials of the correctional colony and bringing them to justice." 

Earlier, the regional department of the Federal Penitentiary Service reported that six prisoners made a tunnel and escaped from Correctional Colony No. 2 in Dagestan.

Later, the Main Directorate of the Federal Penitentiary Service for Dagestan ordered an official check after the escape of six prisoners.
