- The technology is here, now it is a period of four to five years where we will take this technology and make it certified, says the CEO of Heart Aerospace, Anders Forslund.

It is his company that has driven the work of developing the propeller, or driveline, that runs on batteries.

The idea is to put four propellers on the aircraft.

Each propeller has the same amount of batteries as two electric cars.

Goal: To fly routes in six years

Despite this, there is more to be desired in terms of the range that the electric aircraft can handle.

With today's batteries, it will be possible to fly 400 kilometers of distances with the electric aircraft that will be able to take 19 passengers.

According to Anders Forslund, it is enough to make shorter domestic trips, for example to fly between Visby and Stockholm.

- Now it is a period of about five years where we will take this technology and get it approved for passenger traffic.

Our goal is to fly the first routes in the summer of 2026, says Anders Forslund.
