France approves new measures to confront "Corona"

Yesterday, Wednesday, the French authorities approved new strict measures to combat the spread of the virus, announced by Health Minister Olivier Ferrand.

And this coincides with the registration of record numbers of new infections with the Corona virus emerging in the country.

According to "France 24", these measures have placed 11 other major cities, including Paris, in "an enhanced alert zone", and this means in particular the closing of bars at ten in the evening and restricting participation in gatherings by a thousand people.

The city of Aix has placed Marseille in the southeast and Guadeloupe in the Caribbean in a "high alert" area, which includes the total closure of bars and restaurants.

Ferrand warned that "the overall situation continues to deteriorate", while all indicators have been declining in France for several days.

The Minister of Health added, "There is still time to move. The measures we have taken aim to reverse this path."

He called on the French to respect the rules of prevention and reduce gatherings.
