China and India, which are struggling over border issues, have agreed not to send additional troops to the border, China's Defense Ministry says.



China's Defense Ministry spokesman Wu Chen said China and India held a sixth corps leader-level talks on the 21st and exchanged in-depth opinions on the situation of the real control line on the border between the two countries.



Spokesman Wu Chen said the talks, in particular, said the two sides agreed to strengthen communication, stop increasing troops ahead and avoid any action that could aggravate the situation.



The two sides also agreed to hold the 7th round of talks as soon as possible, while protecting the peace and well-being of the border by taking practical steps to properly resolve the issue, Wuchen said.



Earlier, Chinese and Indian troops mobilized firearms in 45 years earlier this month in a clashes using weapons at the border in June.
