"Russian diplomats have been declared persona non grata and must leave Bulgaria within 72 hours," the ministry said.
Earlier, the Bulgarian prosecutor's office said that, according to its data, since 2016, the Russians have been carrying out intelligence activities in search of information about plans to modernize the Bulgarian army.
