The Glenn myth is shattered: Most people are called Glenn in Sölvesborg

The Glenn myth came to life during IFK Gothenburg's heyday in the 80's - when the four Glennars Hysén, Strömberg, Schiller and Holm laid the foundation for the rhyme that everyone is called Glenn in Gothenburg.

Now Dagens Nyheter has debunked the myth.

A survey shows that 0.77 per mille in Gothenburg has Glenn as his first name.

But in Sölvesborg the name is twice as common - here the name is 1.48 per mille Glenn.

Seen at county level, Blekinge is also at the top of 1.27 per mille.
