“The earthquake was felt on the territory of 367 settlements of the Irkutsk region and 25 settlements of the Republic of Buryatia with a force from two to six points," he said.
According to him, the epicenter of an earthquake with a magnitude of 5.9 was located at a depth of 10 km west of the village of Kultuk in the Slyudyansky district.
Earlier, the Ministry of Emergencies reported that an earthquake with a magnitude of 5.9 occurred in the Irkutsk region.
The Irkutsk administration later announced the introduction of a high alert regime after the earthquake.
