Renting electric scooters is now a new way to get around in Jönköping.
A company has received permission from the Police to launch electric scooters in the city center and on Tuesday several of the vehicles were seen in the city.
- If they do not handle the handling of the electric scooters according to our conditions, we can demand that the police withdraw the permit.
We do not want to get it as we have heard in other cities, says Sebastian Wadenborg who is a traffic planner in Jönköping municipality.
The company that has been granted a permit in Jönköping may place 110 electric scooters, between Bäckalyckan in the west and Rosenlund in the east.
The permit is valid for one year.
Accidents have increased you
When renting electric scooters became a phenomenon in the big cities a few years ago, it provoked a lot of reactions from the public.
