"The purpose of the visit of the EU delegation to the defense department is to discuss the situation in the area of the joint forces operation," the statement says.
It is noted that the EU representative and the head of the Ukrainian Defense Ministry also talked about the current state of cooperation between Ukraine and the European Union in "military-political, military-technical and military areas."
Earlier it was reported that Borrell arrived on an official visit to Ukraine.
