It is becoming more and more difficult to respond to global problems in the context of growing world disunity, said Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov during his address to the UN General Assembly on behalf of the CSTO member states. The minister noted that the modern world requires building up comprehensive mutual assistance and cooperation. As Lavrov pointed out, today it is especially important to collectively seek a solution to global problems with the UN's central coordinating role. The foreign minister also stressed that attempts to weaken the arms control and non-proliferation system must be resisted.
