This was reported on the Rospotrebnadzor website.

It is noted that the Uzbek side expressed gratitude for sending Rospotrebnadzor experts to the country and for the assistance provided by Russia in the fight against COVID-19.

It is reported that the parties discussed the epidemic situation in Russia and Uzbekistan, the conditions for lifting the imposed restrictions, as well as the progress of testing the EpiVacCorona vaccine, developed by the state scientific center Vector.

“In particular, the Uzbek side has expressed interest in taking part in joint research on the use of the vaccine after its registration,” the message says.

Earlier, Alexander Ryzhikov, head of the department of zoonotic infections and influenza at the Vector Center, said that at least 3,000 volunteers would take part in the third stage of testing their vaccine against COVID-19.
