Investigations are continuing to determine the circumstances and the exact motives of the homicide committed on the night of September 19 to 20 in the very grounds of the Gerland metro station in Lyon.
Evening during which a young man of 22 years was fatally stabbed by two individuals.
According to the first elements of the investigation, communicated on Monday by the prosecution, the victim did not know his attackers.
At least that is what the respondents indicated.
The latter explained that an altercation would have broken out in the subway train "and would then have degenerated on the platform".
The suspects, placed in custody, were referred on Monday for the opening of a judicial investigation of the count of intentional homicide.
The prosecution requested the placement in pre-trial detention.
As for the identity of the victim, it has not yet been established with certainty.
