India, which is the'world's number one' in the number of new corona19 confirmed daily, has opened up the world-class cultural heritage Taj Mahal this time to save the collapsed economy.

According to Indian media such as NDTV on the 21st, the Indian authorities reopened the Taj Mahal on the day after six months of closure.

Previously, the Indian Archaeological Institute (ASI), which manages the Taj Mahal, closed the doors of 3,400 historic sites nationwide, including the Taj Mahal, to prevent the spread of Corona 19 on March 17.

Since then, most of the historic sites across the country reopened in early July, but the Taj Mahal was unable to open the door after last minute opposition from local authorities concerned about the spread of the virus.

The Taj Mahal in Agra, a city south of the capital city of New Delhi, is made of beautiful white marble and is considered one of the most ornate tombs in the world.

The Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan began construction in 1631 and completed it in 22 years to commemorate the queen Mumtaz Mahal, who died while giving birth to her own child.

Last year, the number of tourists who visited this place reached 7 million.

With the opening of the Taj Mahal, the authorities decided to limit the number of visitors a day to 5,000, which is a quarter of the usual level, and to thoroughly introduce quarantine measures, such as maintaining the distance between tourists.

However, even in the face of the virus outbreak, experts are raising concerns as the Indian government releases the quarantine barrier every day.

This is because the Indian people, who are insensitive to the culture of'social distancing' from the government's appearance that does not seem to pay much attention to quarantine in order to save the economy, may further ignore health rules.

In fact, the number of people without masks on the streets of New Delhi has increased.

Earlier, the Indian government issued a national blockade in late March as a measure to prevent COVID-19, and then gradually lifted it from mid-May.

In the second quarter, when the gross domestic product (GDP) fell by 23.9% compared to the previous year, the first priority was given to economic recovery.

Major controls related to daily life have already been lifted, and this month, subway operations, alcohol sales in restaurants, medical and engineering college entrance examinations, and gradual school opening have been carried out.

Meanwhile, the cumulative number of corona19 confirmed cases in India (based on the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare) was 5.47,580 on the morning of the day, an increase of 86,961 from the previous day.

Although the number of new confirmed cases per day declined to 80,000 in six days, India continues to be the number one in the world for new cases every day since the beginning of last month.

The cumulative number of confirmed cases in India is the second in the world in the United States (7,4,768, world metric).

However, considering the recent decrease in the number of new confirmed cases in the United States from 30,000 to 40,000, India is expected to become the world's largest infected country by the end of next month.
