Too bad if you hadn't seen it yet.

The luxurious four-poster bed which floated on the Saint-Félix basin in Nantes was definitively withdrawn this Monday morning, announces the Voyage à Nantes.

This contemporary work of art, which is one of the successes of the 2020 edition of the route, will not have survived the new bad weather that hit this weekend and in particular the "sudden storm" on Saturday.

VAN services took what was left of the bed out of the water this morning, but it was decided not to relocate it for the last days of the event, scheduled until the end of the week.

Not the first twist

A coup de grace for the work of Vincent Olinet which had already been damaged by the wind and undergone repairs a month ago.

The ups and downs around this installation had started at the beginning of August: the Voyage à Nantes had been obliged to intervene after several people were seen posed or even lying on the unusual plumard, yet far from the quays ... To protect the work, a camera CCTV and explanatory panels had been installed.

The 2020 edition of Voyage à Nantes will end on Sunday.

The day before, night tours of the course and museums will be offered with entertainment.
