21 September 2020 More flexible rules in France, starting tomorrow, in elementary and nursery schools, where all classes will be able to continue their normal activity even if a pupil has tested positive for the swab.

The person concerned will stay at home and his classmates will continue school activities pending his return.

The closure of a class can only be decided starting from 3 positive cases.

Until now, all those who had been in contact with a 'positive' could only return to class if there was a negative swab made 7 days after the last contact with the confirmed case.

The government explained that the new rule is based on an opinion from the High Health Council according to which "children are at low risk of serious and not very active forms of transmission" of Covid-19.

Yesterday in France, 10,596 new positive cases were recorded, but on Sunday the figures are lower and lower due to the closure of the analysis laboratories.

There were 41 new hospital admissions in the last 24 hours, while no new admissions were reported in resuscitation.

In addition, 12 more deaths than the previous day were reported, for a total of 31,585.
