Trial of a worker who attempted to kill another with a machete

The Criminal Court in Ras Al Khaimah has begun the trial of a worker accused of attempting to kill another worker with a machete, as a result of personal differences between them.

And it was stated in the indictment of the Public Prosecution in Ras al-Khaimah, that the accused proceeded to deliberately kill the victim with premeditation that the intention was set and determined to kill him with a machete, as he stabbed him intending to kill him and caused injuries to him, as well as insulted the victim, and demanded to punish him according to the Federal Penal Code .

For his part, the accused denied during the investigations that he had attempted to kill the victim, and indicated that he intended to hit him and hit him with a machete to scare him.

The defense attorney indicated that the elements of the crime of attempted murder were not carried out against the accused, because the papers lack sufficient evidence of the availability of the criminal intent to kill the victim, as the accused denied, in all stages of the investigations, the intention to kill.

They clarified that the accused admitted to beating the victim with the aim of intimidating him, and that he had no intention of killing him.

And they asked the court to use clemency with the accused and exclude the intention to kill, and to amend the description of the restriction from attempted murder to misdemeanor beating using the cleaver tool. The court has set September 30 as the date for the verdict in the case.

The accused proceeded to intentionally kill the victim by making the intention and intending to kill him.
